Thursday is a week from payday

Hello and good afternoon. A late start to the buzzing news room here at my desk. A note worthy event to tend to, the CNN & YouTube presidential debates were a step closer to bringing the 'local town meeting' to the presidential level. It was definitely a landmark, although the questions were still censored and hand picked ever so carefully. The main questions on impeachment were thrown out almost immediately, whereas they focused on questions that became humanized through the context. For example, the lesbian couple who asked if they would be allowed to be married...to each other! Of course the candidates responded with politically correct answers, meaning they beat around the bush and never really answered. So much for democracy I guess.

CNN censors #1 YouTube debate question.....concerning Impeachment

"'There is no intelligence that indicates a specific or credible threat to the homeland,' the TSA said." Since when is the US referred to as "The Homeland?" Sounds a little....Russian?

Our soldiers are "dying in vain": Gravel is right; Obama and Edwards' answers were not only cowardly, but dangerous.

Wondering why the Democrats can't do anything useful in Congress? "So far in the current Congressional term... the Senate Republicans have filibustered 42 times. If this pace holds for the rest of this Congressional term, Senate Republicans will have filibustered a whopping 153 times."

BUSH: "I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower -- the TV was obviously on. And I used to fly, myself, and I said, well, there's one terrible pilot."

A Bush speech with only the words Iraq, 9/11, al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden visible. Scary!
