Fry Day

'Tis here, Friday and it's hot and humid. The start to a rainy weekend always begins with a sunny Friday. I'm sure it's done on purpose- we're all in the office all day Friday wishing we were outside, and on Saturday it rains and we have nothing better to do. That's a pretty good metaphor for life as well. Well I haven't been too chatty this week, as the news isn't all that controversial. Well, it is, but I haven't taken enough of an opinion on the matter to complain, yet. So look out next week!

The Constitution is the founding fiber of American civilization, and in its own words "the supreme law of the land." So anyone claiming we need laws based on the Bible or Quoran isn't merely wrong; they're being traitorous to the intent and heart of the nation.

Senator: "I'm just asking you what you do. Let's not be too contemptuous of this committee. The American taxpayers pay your salary. You work for the American people. I'm just asking you what you DO." White House Deputy Political Director: "This falls under the terms of executive privilege, and respectfully I must decline to answer that question at this time."

A small group of terrorists attacked the largest military force in the world, burning a major port city, destroying a fleet of warships, and kidnapping government officials. In response its government granted sweeping powers to its military which led to the end of hundreds of years of constitutional rule - in Rome, 68 BC.

The hedge fund loophole costs the government $6.3 billion a year — the cost of providing health care to three million children. Of that total, almost $2 billion a year in unjustified tax breaks goes to just 25 individuals. So why do Democrats oppose closing it? (Paul Krugman)

Thusday's cure

Hello and welcome. After a long night and a harsh morning, I'm back in the game. Music is really the only way to detatch from everything. Some people take drugs, and others take vacations. But to me, the only real way to forget is to indulge in some excellent music. It does not force anything on you, and everyone has thier own choice in musical taste. There are as many music genres as there are countries. Concerts are much more involved them music, and they are also a great atmosphere to forget everything and only worry about what the set list is going to be. Thank goodness tomarrow is Friday.
